The webinos platform and its proof-of-concept applications are clearly taking shape. To monitor and evaluate the outcome of these activities, webinos has recently published its demonstration and evaluation plan. The purpose of showcasing and evaluating our webinos assets is not only to market the project, but also to spark interaction with interested parties, recruit affiliates, and allow stakeholders to provide constructive feedback.

The report covers webinos’ demonstration plan. The demonstration plan primarily aims to identify and bring forward webinos’ core assets which lend themselves to be demonstrated to a wider public. In this document, we identify target demo audiences, including application developers, end users of applications, industry players. Furthermore, the demo plan elaborates on our initial demonstration schedule, as well as a number of usable approaches at conferences, meetings, online events, etc.

Having set the demonstration plan, the report continues with a description of webinos’ evaluation framework. Multiple teams are working in parallel on various aspects of the webinos project. The framework aims to enable a project-wide verification and validation process for each of the identified webinos assets. The characteristics and metrics for evaluating the results stemming from the demonstration plan’s execution are defined. Accordingly, a methodological approach is put into place to aggregate evaluation results. Moreover, the framework’s own processes are closely monitored for potential optimization opportunities. Both through internal feedback aggregation, as well as through interfacing with other webinos teams and activities.
